Many of the hotels and restaurants use fine produce from the local area including world-famous Tweed salmon and beef from local farms, again some of the best in the world.




Locally produced soft fruits and vegetables also feature strongly on these menus as well as farm-produced cheeses.

Belters Bar. The Belters Bar is a friendly bar attached to The Forresters Arms with a large range of drinks available on draught and in bottles. They menu has all sorts of gourmet burgers, steaks, chicken dishes and ribs plus we also have in bar special offers. It is dog friendly & children friendly.


The Capon Tree. A fine dining experience in inspired by British & Worldwide cuisine and cooking techniques. A relaxing atmosphere guarantee a restful time in the bar which serves fabulously chosen imported fine wines, spirits and a fine selection of draft beers. It also serves its own hand crafted beer aptly called The Capon Tree. At night enjoy a cocktail with friends in a relaxed atmosphere created by acoustic music, low lighting and candles.


Simply Scottish. A nice lunch time restaurant in the centre of Jedburgh serving everything from snacks to full meals.


The Carter’s Rest. A good sized pub in the centre of town serving a range of food and beers.


The Taj Tandoori. A moderately priced Indian restaurant.
